Your life is full of abundant blessings, serving yourself a cup of kindness first assures enough for all, in the end...
Nourishment and rest for body, mind and spirit is built into the very rhythms of life. Ignoring hunger, need for rest and solitude can bring imbalances that affect our emotional wellbeing and health. Taking care of yourself is a way to be a peacemaker that no one else can do for you. Tending to the needs of the world around you to the exclusion of yourself just creates more chaos and confusion. Thinking kindly of yourself is a blessing of peace for our world!

Once I realized that taking care of ME made life better for all concerned, it became easier to do so :)

Sometimes I think part of the problem in the world is that (in trying to apply "The Golden Rule without mindfulness) we all too often treat others as badly as we treat ourselves, until we learn to do otherwise.

My Dad used to tell us that when we pointed a finger of blame at someone else, we would be wise to remember that 3 fingers pointed at ourselves.
Hugs and blessings,
